Fees & Policies

Free 30 minute consultation – by phone or in person, initially arranged via e-mail.

60 minute session: $140.00

Price also includes GST.

Fees are commensurate with other local mental health providers with similar education, experience, and training.  I do reserve a few spots clients in need of sliding scale arrangements. Feel free to inquire.

Payment method: Cash, cheque, or e-transfer accepted.

I request payment at the end of each session. I will provide an official receipt with my registration number.

INSURANCE

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I ask that you pay for the cost of your session and then submit your receipt to your extended health care provider.

My registration with two professional bodies, the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (registered clinical counsellor – RCC) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (canadian certified counsellor – CCC) may enhance your chances of coverage. Be sure to advise your carrier.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

I am also an approved service provider for the Crime Victim Assistance Program and a member of the referral network for the Doctor’s of BC’s Physician Health Program.

TAX DEDUCTIONS

The fees for psychotherapy and counselling services are tax deductible – save your receipts!

MISSED OR LATE APPOINTMENTS

Your appointment time has been reserved especially for you. Please provide 24 hours cancellation notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Not providing notice prevents others from accessing services. If you miss your appointment, a fee equivalent to the full session will be charged (except in the case of an emergency).

Clients arriving late for appointment can complete the rest of their appointment’s scheduled time, however they will still be charged the full session fee.
